Terms of Use

Effective May 21, 2026

By downloading, installing, or using WriteFlow ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms cover both distribution channels:

Where a clause applies only on one platform, it is marked iOS only or macOS only.

1. Description of service

WriteFlow is an AI-powered writing tool that provides:

On iOS / iPadOS the Service is delivered through a keyboard extension plus host app. On macOS it is delivered through a standalone application that integrates with the system via Accessibility.

The Service requires an active internet connection for AI features to function.

2. Developer identity

WriteFlow is developed and published by Juraj Gajdos, an independent developer based in the European Union.

3. Eligibility

To use WriteFlow, you must be at least:

4. License

I grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use WriteFlow on your personal Apple devices in accordance with these Terms.

4.1 iOS / iPadOS — Apple's standard EULA

For App Store distributions, your use of WriteFlow is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Where these Terms and Apple's EULA conflict, Apple's EULA prevails for the App Store distribution.

4.2 macOS — Direct-download EULA

For the macOS direct-download build, no Apple EULA wraps your use of the App. Instead, the following terms apply directly:

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WriteFlow to:

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these Terms.

6. AI-generated content and third-party AI service

7. Intellectual property

8. Subscriptions and payments

WriteFlow Pro is a recurring subscription with three plans:

All prices are in EUR and apply globally. Currency conversion (where applicable) is handled by your card issuer or Apple.

8.1 iOS / iPadOS — App Store

On iOS / iPadOS, payment is processed through Apple's App Store. By purchasing, you also agree to Apple's standard terms for auto-renewing subscriptions:

8.2 macOS — Web Billing

On macOS, payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. acting as merchant of record under Stripe Managed Payments, via RevenueCat Web Billing. Stripe is responsible for VAT / sales-tax collection and remittance.

9. Right of withdrawal (EU / EEA users)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days under EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

9.1 iOS / iPadOS

Withdrawal for App Store purchases is handled by Apple under their refund process. By purchasing through the App Store, you acknowledge and agree that you request immediate performance of the service, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been fully provided.

9.2 macOS

Withdrawal for macOS web purchases is honored directly by me under Section 8.2: I refund any new subscription within 14 days for any reason, on email request to starsync.dev@outlook.com. Beyond 14 days, the right of withdrawal does not apply because the digital service has been provided in full.

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time without giving a reason; this does not affect the current paid period.

10. Free tier

Without an active Pro subscription, WriteFlow allows up to 5 AI requests per device per day. Daily counters reset at midnight in your local time zone. The free-tier limit is enforced server-side and may be adjusted over time without notice.

11. Consumer rights

11.1 EU / EEA users

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Digital Content Directive (2019/770/EU). Where these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws prevail.

11.2 Australian users

Under Australian Consumer Law, goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms purports to modify or exclude the conditions, warranties, and undertakings implied by the Australian Consumer Law. If applicable consumer law implies a condition, warranty, or term that cannot be excluded, my liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

11.3 All other users

If you reside in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under those laws.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." I MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

I do not warrant that:

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, I SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

My total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Juraj Gajdos from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, content you generate or distribute using the Service, or your use of the Service in violation of applicable law. This section does not apply to the extent prohibited by the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

15. Account and sign-in

You may use WriteFlow anonymously (subject to the free-tier limit) or sign in to sync your subscription across devices. Sign-in providers:

Sign in with Apple is not offered on macOS because Apple's provisioning policy does not allow that capability on Developer ID direct-download builds. Email and Google together cover the same cross-platform sign-in case.

Signing in stores a Supabase user ID and your email address (Section 1.3 of the Privacy Policy). You can sign out at any time from Settings. Account deletion requires emailing starsync.dev@outlook.com.

16. Termination

I may suspend or terminate your access to WriteFlow at any time for violation of these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling does not automatically cancel a paid subscription — you must cancel via Apple ID Settings (iOS) or the RevenueCat billing portal (macOS).

17. Changes to these terms

I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. For material changes, I will provide notice through the app. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

18.1 EU / EEA consumers

If you are a consumer in the EU / EEA, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You retain the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to resolve disputes online.

18.2 Users outside the EU / EEA

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Federal Republic of Germany. However, if mandatory laws of your country of residence provide you with the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, that right is preserved.

19. Export compliance

The App may be subject to export control laws. You agree not to export or re-export the App in violation of any applicable export control laws or regulations.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

21. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and (for iOS / iPadOS distributions) Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and me regarding the use of WriteFlow.
